Fixed income is where quantitative finance’s modeling tradition runs deepest and data runs thinnest. This hub covers term-structure models (affine, HJM-lineage, and their ML successors), yield-curve forecasting, bond risk premia, and credit — spread dynamics, default modeling, and corporate bond market structure.
Two things distinguish strong papers here. First, honest treatment of the small-sample problem: there are only a handful of independent interest-rate cycles in any dataset, so out-of-sample claims rest on far less evidence than equity research enjoys, and papers that acknowledge regime dependence (pre/post-2008 zero-rate era, the 2022 repricing) age better. Second, attention to market plumbing — corporate bond research that ignores dealer intermediation costs and stale quotes produces backtests no desk can trade. The intersection with machine learning is growing fast, but the base rates favor parsimonious models in this asset class more than anywhere else.

This study considers the Merton model with temporal correlation. We show the Merton model becomes Poisson process with the log-normal distributed intensity function in the limit. We discuss the relation between this model and Hawkes process. In this model we confirm the super-normal transition when
We propose a framework for transfer learning of discount curves across different fixed-income product classes. Motivated by challenges in estimating discount curves from sparse or noisy data, we extend kernel ridge regression (KR) to a vector-valued setting, formulating a convex optimization problem
This paper investigates the risk spillovers among AI ETFs, AI tokens, and green markets using the R2 decomposition method. We reveal several key insights. First, the overall transmission connectedness index (TCI) closely aligns with the contemporaneous TCI, while the lagged TCI is significantly lowe
We introduce a novel Dynamic Graph Neural Network (DGNN) architecture for solving conditional $m$-steps ahead forecasting problems in temporal financial networks. The proposed DGNN is validated on simulated data from a temporal financial network model capturing stylized features of Interest Rate Swa
This paper extends the possibility to examine the underlying curvature of data through the lens of topology by using the Betti curves, tools of Persistent Homology, as key topological descriptors, building on the clique topology approach. It was previously shown that Betti curves distinguish random
We propose a unifying framework for the pricing of debt securities under general time-inhomogeneous short-rate diffusion processes. The pricing of bonds, bond options, callable/putable bonds, and convertible bonds (CBs) is covered. Using continuous-time Markov chain (CTMC) approximations, we obtain
To assign a value to a portfolio, it is common to use Mark-to-Market prices. However, how should one proceed when the securities are illiquid? When transaction prices are scarce, how can one use all the available real-time information? In this article, we address these questions for over-the-counter
In this paper, we develop a novel method based on Malliavin calculus to find an approximation for the convexity adjustment for various classical interest rate products. Malliavin calculus provides a simple way to get a template for the convexity adjustment. We find the approximation for Futures, OIS
The main objective of this work is to test whether some stochastic models typically used in financial markets could be applied to the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end we have implemented the ARIMAX and Cox-Ingersoll-Ross (CIR) models originally designed for interest rate pricing but transformed by us
The purpose of this paper is firstly to review the literature on the efficacy and importance of the Altman Z-Score bankruptcy prediction model globally and its
Public announcement dates are used in the green bond literature to measure equity market reactions to upcoming green bond issues. We find a sizeable number of green bond announcements were pre-dated by anonymous information leakages on the Bloomberg Terminal. From a candidate set of 2,036 ‘Bloomberg
As a quantitative characterization of the complicated economy, Macroeconomic Variables (MEVs), including GDP, inflation, unemployment, income, spending, interest rate, etc., are playing a crucial role in banks’ portfolio management and stress testing exercise. In recent years, especially during the
Climate mitigation decisions today affect future generations, raising questions of intergenerational equity. Integrated assessment models (IAMs) rely on discounting to evaluate long-term policy costs and benefits. Using the DICE model, we quantify how optimal pathways distribute abatement and damage
Lending protocols in decentralized finance enable the permissionless exchange of capital from lenders to borrowers without relying on a trusted third party for clearing or market-making. Interest rates are set by the supply and demand of capital according to a pre-defined function. In the lead-up to
This paper mainly utilizes the ARDL model and principal component analysis to investigate the relationship between the volatility of China’s Shanghai Composite Index returns and the variables of exchange rate and domestic and foreign bond yields in an internationally integrated stock market. This pa
This study explores the application of generative adversarial networks in financial market supervision, especially for solving the problem of data imbalance to improve the accuracy of risk prediction. Since financial market data are often imbalanced, especially high-risk events such as market manipu
Inflation is one of the most important macroeconomic indicators that have a great impact on the population of any country and region. Inflation is influenced by range of factors, one of which is inflation expectations. Many central banks take this factor into consideration while implementing monetar
We develop an asymptotic theory for the jump robust measurement of covariations in the context of stochastic evolution equation in infinite dimensions. Namely, we identify scaling limits for realized covariations of solution processes with the quadratic covariation of the latent random process that
We develop an efficient pricing approach for guaranteed minimum withdrawal benefits (GMWBs) with continuous withdrawals under a realistic modeling setting with jump-diffusions and stochastic interest rate. Utilizing an impulse stochastic control framework, we formulate the no-arbitrage GMWB pricing
We derive an explicit asymptotic approximation for implied volatilities of caplets under the assumption that the short-rate is described by a generic quadratic term-structure model. In addition to providing an asymptotic accuracy result, we perform experiments in order to gauge the numerical accurac
