Fixed income is where quantitative finance’s modeling tradition runs deepest and data runs thinnest. This hub covers term-structure models (affine, HJM-lineage, and their ML successors), yield-curve forecasting, bond risk premia, and credit — spread dynamics, default modeling, and corporate bond market structure.
Two things distinguish strong papers here. First, honest treatment of the small-sample problem: there are only a handful of independent interest-rate cycles in any dataset, so out-of-sample claims rest on far less evidence than equity research enjoys, and papers that acknowledge regime dependence (pre/post-2008 zero-rate era, the 2022 repricing) age better. Second, attention to market plumbing — corporate bond research that ignores dealer intermediation costs and stale quotes produces backtests no desk can trade. The intersection with machine learning is growing fast, but the base rates favor parsimonious models in this asset class more than anywhere else.

In most cases, insurance contracts are linked to the financial markets, such as through interest rates or equity-linked insurance products. To motivate an evaluation rule in these hybrid markets, Artzner et al. (2022) introduced the notion of insurance-finance arbitrage. In this paper we extend thei
We study robust bond valuation with endogenous short-rate feedback under volatility uncertainty. Within the $G$-expectation framework, the dependence of the short rate on the bond price yields a nonlinear fixed-point problem, represented by a quadratic $G$-BSDE for the logarithmic price. Under suita
We study the pricing of European-style options written on forward contracts within function-valued infinite-dimensional affine stochastic volatility models. The dynamics of the underlying forward price curves are modeled within the Heath-Jarrow-Morton-Musiela framework as solution to a stochastic pa
In this paper, we investigate mean-variance (MV) portfolio selection problems with jumps in a regime-switching financial model. The novelty of our approach lies in allowing not only the market parameters – such as the interest rate, appreciation rate, volatility, and jump intensity – to depend on th
Bitcoin treasury companies have taken stock markets by storm amassing billions of dollars worth of tokens in hundreds of entities. The paper discusses, how leverage - whether created through corporate debt or investors using stock as loan collateral - fuels this trend. The extension of the binary-ch
This paper addresses the approximation of the local volatility function in the Cheyette interest rate model. Its main contribution is an explicit analytical formula for approximating local volatility, derived by extending the classical Dupire framework to interest rate models. In particular, an impl
We develop a model for credit rating migration that accounts for the impact of economic state fluctuations on default probabilities. The joint process for the economic state and the rating is modelled as a time-homogeneous Markov chain. While the rating process itself possesses the Markov property o
We provide a general HJM framework for forward contracts written on abstract market indices with arbitrary fixing and payment adjustments, and featuring collateralization in any currency denominations. In view of this, we first provide a thorough study of cross-currency markets in the presence of co
The term structure of interest rates (yield curve) is a critical facet of financial analytics, impacting various investment and risk management decisions. It is used by the central bank to conduct and monitor its monetary policy. That instrument reflects the anticipation of inflation and the risk by
Engle and Russell (1998, Econometrica, 66:1127–1162) apply results from the GARCH literature to prove consistency and asymptotic normality of the (exponential) QMLE for the generalized autoregressive conditional duration (ACD) model, the so-called ACD(1,1), under the assumption of strict stationarit
In this paper, the TF system of two-coupled Black-Scholes equations for pricing the convertible bonds is solved numerically by using the P1 and P2 finite elements with the inequality constraints approximated by the penalty method. The corresponding finite element ODE system is numerically solved by
In cross-sectional data sets from ten credit markets, we find that middle-aged adults borrow at lower interest rates and pay fewer fees relative to younger and
Volatility Skew and Smile of Interest Rate products (Swaption and Caplet) are represented by SABR (Stochastic Alpha Beta Rho model). So, the Interest Rate derivatives model for pricing the callable exotic swaps should be comparable to the SABR volatility surface. In the interest rate derivatives mod
We price European options in a class of models in which the volatility of the underlying risky asset depends on the short rate of interest. Our study results in an explicit pricing formula that depends on knowledge of a characteristic function. We provide examples of models in which the characterist
We study an extension of the Cox-Ingersoll-Ross (CIR) process that incorporates jumps at deterministic dates, referred to as stochastic discontinuities. Our main motivation stems from short-rate modelling in the context of overnight rates, which often exhibit jumps at predetermined dates correspondi
In this analysis we determine factors driving the cross-sectional variation in uninsured deposits during the interest rate raising cycle of 2022 to 2023. The goal of our analysis is to determine whether banks proactively managed deposit run risk prior to the hiking cycle which produced the 2023 Regi
One type of bond with the most implicit government guarantee is municipal investment bonds. In recent years, there have been an increasing number of downgrades in the credit ratings of municipal bonds, which has led some people to question whether the implicit government guarantee may affect the obj
The project managers who deal with risk management are often faced with the difficult task of determining the relative importance of the various sources of risk that affect the project. This prioritisation is crucial to direct management efforts to ensure higher project profitability. Risk matrices
Constructing an accurate yield curve is essential for evaluating financial instruments and analyzing market trends in the bond market. However, in the case of the Burundian sovereign bond market, the presence of missing data poses a significant challenge to accurately constructing the yield curve. I
We study a model of clearing in an interbank network with crossholdings and default charges. Following the Eisenberg–Noe approach, we define the model via a set of natural financial regulations including those related with eventual default charges and derive a finite family of fixpoint problems. Th
