Derivatives pricing is quantitative finance’s oldest deep-math tradition, and this hub holds the collection’s densest concentration of stochastic calculus. The research spans pricing models (jump diffusions, stochastic volatility, rough volatility), numerical methods (Monte Carlo variants, PDE solvers, ML surrogates for high-dimensional pricing), and the newer deep hedging literature that learns hedge ratios directly under transaction costs.
The quadrant system earns its keep here: much of this work is mathematically airtight but empirically untested (“Lab Rats” in our scoring), which is fine for pricing engines and dangerous for trading claims. When a paper proposes a new model, the questions that matter are calibration stability — does it fit today’s surface without absurd parameters tomorrow — and hedging performance out of sample, not merely in-sample fit to option quotes.

This paper proposes a deep delta hedging framework for options, utilizing neural networks to learn the residuals between the hedging function and the implied Black-Scholes delta. This approach leverages the smoother properties of these residuals, enhancing deep learning performance. Utilizing ten ye
We propose a gradient-based deep learning framework to calibrate the Heston option pricing model (Heston, 1993). Our neural network, henceforth deep differential network (DDN), learns both the Heston pricing formula for plain-vanilla options and the partial derivatives with respect to the model para
This paper presents a data-driven interpretable machine learning algorithm for semi-static hedging of Exchange Traded options, considering transaction costs with efficient run-time. Further, we provide empirical evidence on the performance of hedging longer-term National Stock Exchange (NSE) Index o
We develop closed-form expansions for the implied volatility of VIX options within the class of forward variance models. Our approach builds on weak-approximation techniques for VIX option prices and yields explicit implied volatility expansions with computable correction terms. The resulting formul
We introduce the Local Occupied Volatility (LOV) model that sits between Dupire’s local volatility and fully path-dependent dynamics. By design, the LOV model ensures automatic calibration to European vanilla options, while offering the flexibility to capture stylized facts of volatility or fit addi
Martingale Optimal Transport (MOT) provides a framework for robust pricing and hedging of illiquid derivatives. Classical MOT enforces exact calibration of model marginals to the mid-prices of vanilla options. Motivated by the industry practice of fitting bid and ask marginals to vanilla prices, we
Deep hedging trains neural networks to manage derivative risk under market frictions, but produces hedge ratios with no measure of model confidence – a significant barrier to deployment. We introduce uncertainty quantification to the deep hedging framework by training a deep ensemble of five indepe
This work introduces an end-to-end framework for multi-asset option pricing that combines market-consistent risk-neutral density recovery with quantum-accelerated numerical integration. We first calibrate arbitrage-free marginal distributions from European option quotes using the Normal Inverse Gaus
Risk measures such as Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR) focus on extreme losses, where scarce tail data makes model error unavoidable. To hedge misspecification, one evaluates worst-case tail risk over an ambiguity set. Using Extreme Value Theory (EVT), we derive first-order asymptotics for worst-cas
This study investigates enhancing option pricing by extending the Black-Scholes model to include stochastic volatility and interest rate variability within the Partial Differential Equation (PDE). The PDE is solved using the finite difference method. The extended Black-Scholes model and a machine le
We present a method based on optimal transport to remove arbitrage opportunities within a finite set of option prices. The method is notably intended for regulatory stress-tests, which require applying significant local distortions to implied volatility surfaces, thereby introducing arbitrage. The r
It is a market practice to express market-implied volatilities in some parametric form. The most popular parametrizations are based on or inspired by an underlying stochastic model, like the Heston model (SVI method) or the SABR model (SABR parametrization). Their popularity is often driven by a clo
One of the most discussed problems in the financial world is stock option pricing. The Black-Scholes Equation is a Parabolic Partial Differential Equation which provides an option pricing model. The present work proposes an approach based on Neural Networks to solve the Black-Scholes Equations. Real
The Chicago Board Options Exchange Volatility Index (VIX) is calculated from SPX options and derivatives of VIX are also traded in market, which leads to the so-called ``consistent modeling" problem. This paper proposes a time-changed Lévy model for log price with a composite change of time structur
In this article we present a general framework for non-concave robust stochastic control problems under model uncertainty in a discrete time finite horizon setting. Our framework allows to consider a variety of different path-dependent ambiguity sets of probability measures comprising, as a natural
In this paper we study short-time behavior of the at-the-money implied volatility for Inverse European options with fixed strike price. The asset price is assumed to follow a general stochastic volatility process. Using techniques of the Malliavin calculus such as the anticipating It^o’s formula we
This paper proposes the option-implied Fourier-cosine method, iCOS, for non-parametric estimation of risk-neutral densities, option prices, and option sensitivities. The iCOS method leverages the Fourier-based COS technique, proposed by Fang and Oosterlee (2008), by utilizing the option-implied cosi
Estimating extreme risk in reinforcement learning becomes increasingly difficult as the confidence level increases, since only a small number of observations contribute to empirical estimates of Conditional Value-at-Risk (CVaR). In this paper, we extend an Extreme Value Theory (EVT) approach for CVa
This paper studies semi-static variance-optimal hedging of variance swaps in the rough Heston model under a risk-neutral measure. We combine dynamic trading in the underlying asset with static positions in a finite basket of European options, with the aim of minimizing the variance of the residual h
We develop a posteriori primal-dual bounds for numerical approximations of European option prices in the Uncertain Volatility Model. Given a smooth candidate approximation of the value function, a feedback control induced by its Hessian yields a primal lower bound. On the dual side, we derive a repr
